im pretty sure its because as a teacher and someone who used to teach at a cram school, hes used to putting in a certain amount of commitment to studying your field. It probably pissed him off to see someone whos barely even trying, get so much more of the attention, when hes the one whose actually put in the work and perfected all the dance moves. I know itd probably piss me off too.
